Back in January American announced that it was seeking a replacement jet for 22 A330s that were more than a decade old.
Well, Seeking Alpha is reporting tonight that Boeing seems very close on deal for American’s widebody order. Airbus has apparently told Bloomberg that it ended talks with AA as it refused to sell the A330neo at the price Boeing is offering for the 787 Dreamliner. Both publications warn that no deal has been finalized at this point.

A350? Do you mean a330? Hate those slimline now seats but the humidity is great on the 787
Will Boeing sell 787’s with no IFE, no power , barely functioning wi fi? Those seem to be AA’s preferred setup. Oh yeah, see if they can fit 12 across in coach and its a deal!
what on earth are you talking about. All of AA’s 787s are configured 9 across in Y, which seems to be the way EVERY airline outside of Japan is doing.
