You Spent How Many SPG Points for Today’s Experience? Win 1K AA Miles with a Guess

I’ve done it again! My other passion when not traveling is music and attending concerts. One of my favorite bands is Dave Matthews Band and I’ve currently seen them in concert 42 times (yep, a little obsessed). Anyway, SPG Moments recently had an auction for two premium seats and a meet & greet with Dave. I set a limit of how many points I was willing to spend, but of course I went over it…though not horribly. It’s hard to stick to your limit when the auction is automatically extended for an additional five minutes any time another bid is placed. So how much did I spend? Submit your guess in the comment section below. The first person to guess correctly (or come closest) without going over wins 1,000 AAdvantage miles courtesy of Point Me to the Plane! Luckily for me, even with my purchase, I still have well over 450K SPG points thanks to my regular SPG stays and multiple SPG AMEX cards.

I’ll be revealing the number Saturday along with my review of tonight’s experience. Hopefully it works out better than last year’s Coldplay SPG Moment experience.

  1. 116,000 SPG points. By the way, I enjoy reading your posts about the SPG moments. I also enjoy concerts and find SPG Moments to have some great events at good value. I went to Coldplay in Boston and NJ for 5000 points last year and I was next to the stage. I have also participated in the Cirque Family Day event and SPG does it right and makes you feel like a VIP. Enjoy the show tonight and please tell us how it went, hopefully more than just a “Hi” like the Coldplay concert

  2. Gonna guess 115,999. I can’t wait to bid on one of those if one of my favorite artists participate in it. I’ve been checking.
