3X AAdvantage Miles on Grocery, Gas Stations, Restaurants, Drugstores, & Transport* Returns

I’m placing a few of my daily use credit cards in a drawer for a short while with the return of the 3X Citi AAdvantage miles offer. The promotion offers 3X American AAdvantage miles on purchases at grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, drug stores, and commuter transportation merchants. Unfortunately (and why the other cards will be back out of the drawer rather quickly), the maximum miles you can earn is 2,5000…meaning it’s only good on the first $1,250 you spend (2x miles plus the normal 1 mile you always earn). I received email and postal offers for both my AAdvantage Platinum Select AMEX and Visa cards and I’ll max each out.  These are two cards I do not use, however Citi continues to waive the annual fee each year (I actually made money the last two years with the credits they issued) and so I take them out of storage when these offers come around.
