New Routes Expand Charlotte and Miami Hubs
American Airlines announced new domestic routes from its Charlotte (CLT) and Miami (MIA) hubs for Winter 2018/2019. The new routes begin mid-December 2018:
・Charlotte (CLT) – Champaign IL (CMI) daily Embraer ERJ-140 beginning December 19
・Charlotte (CLT) – Ithaca (ITH) weekly ERJ-145 beginning December 22
・Miami (MIA) – Houston Hobby (HOU) daily Embraer E175 beginning December 19
・Miami (MIA) – Providence (PVD) daily Airbus A319 beginning December 19
・Miami (MIA) – Buffalo (BUF) seasonal beginning December 19
Last week, American announced a seasonal weekly flight from New York LaGuardia (LGA) to Vail/Eagle (EGE) beginning December 22. The route will operate on Saturdays using an Airbus A319 aircraft.
United Ending Service to Champaign, IL
American’s new Champaign, IL (CMI) service follows United’s recent announcement that it’s ending Chicago (ORD) to Champaign, IL (CMI) this fall after just one year of operating the route.
United is also ending Chicago (ORD) to Manchester, NH (MHT) and Mobile, AL (MOB) on September 5.
