Last Thursday, American Airlines flight 73 departed LAX at 9:50PM for the airline’s first scheduled flight back to Sydney since 1992. The world’s largest airline is operating a 777-300ER on the daily route with the following schedule:
The aircraft received a water cannon salute upon arrival in Sydney as well as gate parties at both LAX and SYD. I’ll be flying JFK-SYD via LAX later this week on Virgin Australia and returning in 2016 on DL…all with Delta SkyMiles thanks to the mighty schedule change rule.
