Cathay Pacific’s Next U.S. Destination: Seattle
Just yesterday, Cathay Pacific teased a new U.S. destination on Twitter. Cathay hinted at new service to Houston, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Salt Lake City, Denver, Miami, Dallas, Austin…and Seattle.

I was secretly rooting for Denver but unsurprisingly, Seattle is the ‘winner’ of Cathay’s next expansion across the Pacific. Cathay’s new four-weekly flight begins March 31, 2019 on the carrier’s new A350-900 aircraft.
Seattle Makes Sense for Cathay
In a surprise move, Delta announced it will exit Hong Kong completely, axing its Seattle (SEA) – Hong Kong (HKG) this October. That leaves Seattle without service to Hong Kong, one of the most important financial and global commerce hubs.
Introducing our new non-stop service to cutting-edge #Seattle, launching 31 March 2019. Choose from four weekly flights in our state-of-the-art A350 and experience the bohemian capital of the US’ Pacific Northwest. https://t.co/1hEy2T59Lq pic.twitter.com/UeehuDAK8Z

Glad to see Delta outta there. Hope Delta will pull out of Tokyo and South Korea. Why on earth would you fly with sh*tty carriers like DL, UA & AA anywhere?
