Thursday morning, a passenger trying board an EasyJet flight from London Gatwick to Belfast was tasered and ultimately arrested over a carry-on baggage dispute. EasyJet only allows one carry-on bag. The passenger felt that his “man purse” should not count, and that he should be allowed to carry-on a second bag in addition. Apparently the gate attendants did initially allow him to board with both bags, but then things continued to escalate from there after boarding, at which time the passenger was tasered, arrested, and removed from the plane. This is definitely a strange one for the books.
