UPDATE: Looks like this might be a no-go. Hoping it’s a temporary issue. Will try and get some clarification and report back.
Here’s a little trick that will take the anxiety out of wondering if the AAgent applied your SWUs to the waitlist correctly.
Surfing Flyertalk yesterday I saw this post by zig2.
Here’s how to check:
Install the iOS or Android app TripCase (official Sabre app)
- Create a trip and link your PNR to the trip
- Click on the “Documents” tab
- Click on the “Arranger Itinerary” tab
- If your entries contain “Business Waitlisted” your SWU’s has been applied correctly.
Note: Not sure how this will work if you have a companion attached to your PNR.
Several people on Flyertalk have confirmed that this works. I can’t independently test it because I don’t currently have a flight with a SWU attached, but if you do and it works, please leave a comment below.

Doesn’t work. It won’t take my PNR. Keeps saying unable to link booking
It did not work for me as well. Same as CW.
I was able to link my PNR by forwarding my confirmation email from the airline to trips@tripcase.com but nothing under “Documents” tab and where do I find the “Arranger Itinerary” tab?
@FabinhoBP @Fred @CW Thank you for trying this out. Scanning FT it appears others are having the same issues. Not sure if its a temporary issue or not. I will try and get some clarification and report back.
Forwarding the email will not work. Linking the PNR is the only way. Mine booked for the res desk and an Australian travel agent both worked and show the waitlist segment right at the bottom after all other segments. Regardless of where in the PNR the waitlisted confirmed flight sits.
