Recently, the Los Angeles Times reported that Disneyland plans to open a brand new hotel in Anaheim, California, for the first new hotel to be built in 20 years.
Disney is looking to modernize its hotel options for guests, and the proposed property will be located on a 10-acre parking lot on the west end of the existing property. The Los Angeles Times indicated that the new hotel would take advantage of a city incentive program that allows any four-star or four-diamond hotel to keep 70% of the bed taxes for 20 years. This hotel would be the 4th hotel built at Disneyland.
There is no theme set for this property yet. However, Disney has announced that several amenities will be included, such as a rooftop terrace, a high-end restaurant, two pools, concierge service, and a water area. According to the OC Register, the average nightly rate is expected to be about $450.
