There are currently several dates in early June with First Class Apartment availability on Etihad’s JFK-AUH A380 route, many dates even have two seats available. This coincides with Etihad upgrading the JFK-AUH route to an all A380 fleet starting on June 1st. Outbound from the US has historically been the tougher find, but ever since the double A380 schedule was loaded, JFK-AUH award space hasn’t been so horrible and at Juicy Miles we’ve had no problems eventually getting clients booked on their exact travel dates. Of course, availability from Abu Dhabi remains much easier.
I’ve had good luck recently with the AA US call center being able to see Etihad award availability, but sometimes they are unable to see it and a call to an overseas call center usually does the trick (lately I’ve been finding that the New Zealand call center can see the availability when the Australian one cannot). Reports suggest that the UK call center is also seeing EY F availability with more frequency lately as well.
