Hotel toiletries is one of the topics that shouldn’t really matter that much, but does invoke strong feelings among frequent travelers. You may remember the hate surrounding Hyatt Regency’s old Portico products (ahem white ginger), or the Le Labo products used in selected Park Hyatt and Fairmont hotels, which many seem to love. Personally, I am partial to the Aesop products I got at Park Hyatt Seoul.
And then of course, there was the time when I got a strange mix of 3 different brands at the Grand Hyatt Dubai…
Le Meridien, a brand previously owned by Starwood and now part of the Marriott family, is changing up the toiletries used in over 100 of their hotels worldwide. Starting in early 2017, the hotel chain will be offering Malin+Goetz products. The range will include lime bar soap, peppermint shampoo, sage body wash, cilantro hair conditioner, and vitamin b5 moisturizer.
These are the exact same selection that Delta offers in their Sky Club showers, and I remember them smelling really great.
Le Meridien won’t be the first hotel chain to use Malin+Goetz; the smaller Morgans Hotel Group, with properties like the Royalton New York, also offers Malin+Goetz amenities.
The important question now: Will Le Meridien properties like The Parker Palm Springs keep offering Hermès soaps and Bulgari lotions?

I think they’ve been offering these toiletries at Le Meridien for awhile… I’m staying here at the one in Montreal and that’s what’s in the bathroom, same as it was back in October. I remember this because I liked them so much I brought them home with me and will do again!
