Walter Cavanagh, “Mr. Plastic Fantastic”, has once again entered the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most active credit cards (continuing his streak since 1971). With 1,497 cards, Walter has a credit line of $1.7 million. He also holds the record for the longest wallet, at 250 feet and 38 pounds, allowing him to hold 800 cards. What about his credit score? He says it’s great…which makes sense given his credit utilization ratio and the average age of his cards.
“It’s nearly perfect. I have a nearly perfect credit score. I only use one card and I pay it off at the end of the month. But you should see the length of my credit report — wow!”
His credit card application obsession started as a bet, click here for the full story. No word on how many points cards he has…
