Forget about the Mercedes S-Class, Porsche Cayenne, or Porsche Panamera, dog sled planeside pickups seem way more fun! These would also be quite helpful here in New York where we are once again experiencing another major winter storm. The Kirkenes Snowhotel in northern Norway recently launched the taxi service using a team of eight Alaskan huskies. The service picks up guests planeside from their flight at Kirkenes Airport (KKN) and transports them on a scenic 45 minute ride through the snow to the hotel. The hotel will charge guests 2300 NOK ($372) for the service and guests will be provided with thermal suits and given time to get acquainted with the dogs before the ride. They are also advertising this as the world’s first dog-sled taxi service. Full story in Norway’s The Local.
PS – I think it may be time to use some more BA Avios to escape to the Caribbean once again… BA Avios Value – Escape from the Blizzard

OMG this is so cute! I would totally do this just to experience it.
[…] is just too funny. I want that on my next Alaska flight! Would be real handy in Kotz or Bethel. http://boardingarea.com/pointmetothe…es-or-porsche/ __________________ Yes, even I have a blog […]
