Singapore Says No More Elite Miles on Virgin Atlantic for Delta’s “Group 1” Partner

Not a huge surprise given Delta’s $360M purchase of Singapore Airlines’ 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic back in 2012, but Singapore announced earlier this month that you will no longer be able to earn KrisFlyer Elite miles on Virgin Atlantic operated flights, departing on/after 1 July 2016, between the Americas and Europe. However, you will continue to earn KrisFlyer Elite miles on the rest of Virgin Atlantic’s non-transatlantic flight network. This announcement actually came much later than I had expected…
