An unruly passenger on US Airways flight 906 from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Charlotte (CLT), was forcibly removed from the flight on Sunday evening after refusing to comply with flight attendant instructions to power down her phone before takeoff. The pilot then ordered her off the plane and that’s when the chaos ensued as the passenger refused to leave. She obviously doesn’t care at all about anyone else…but don’t worry, she’s college educated!
“I will hold up this whole **** plane, I don’t care where people gotta go.”
She becomes even more irritated when other passengers and one of the flight attendants confirms to officers that she was in fact on her phone the whole time.
Ridiculous video below, warning very explicit. …again I ask, is it that hard to turn off your phone for a few hours? I love being able to disconnect for a bit!

Arrest her… fine her…jail her…. Airline ban her… TSA put her on the no fly list… passengers file a class action for delaying the flight…
As much as I think the ban on electronic devices is ridiculous, and that it won’t be around for long, this self-important, self-entitled moron deserves to go to jail.
@Wanderingentrepreneur – Agreed!
They should BAN her from flying! So sick and tired of The Jerry Springer Show antics on flights! Take the bus or train from now on.
haha thanks for the laugh.
Of course this altercation was captured on a cellphone. Ironic?
You are close, but news reports are that she was arrested because she wouldn’t stop talking on the phone. Which I guess means she wouldn’t turn the device off.

@Andrew – To be making a call on her phone it would have had to be on…
I fly all the time. Every once in a while you get someone who is unruly, drunk or simply thinks they are above all the rules.
The police/TSA gave this woman every chance to comply but she simply refused. She brought this on herself and could care less it was in front of some child or children traveling.
I hope she gets some real jail time and gets charged and not let go. What a piece of trash!

Oh well, when Matthew Klint of UPGRD was thrown off his United flight he also stated the FA was lying. That never crossed anyone’s minds did it? FA’s LIE?!?!? Noooooo… Ms. Lindsay’s actions after the initial request for removal were not in compliance with the TSA, nor was Matthew’s initial requests to see his accuser and wanting to know why these actions were occurring. The issue is not His or her actions as a result of the initial accusation or false assumptions. The issue is, why did it happen in the first place. If she indeed was asked more than once to terminate a call and turn off the device and she did not comply, then she is at fault. If Matthew was asked more than once to stop taking photos and he did not comply, then he is at fault. No one but the people there know beyond fact, that she was asked multiple times or was even on a call. No one knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that Matthew took more than one picture after being asked not to take any more, although Matthew has stated himself that he was actually not even asked to stop but that he did it voluntarily and that he approached to apologize and stopped taking pictures on his own.
It is well documented the myriad of cases where an FA or TSA staff have objectified, lied and erroneously accused people of things that have no baring on safety or other people’s need to get to a destination on time. Seeing as how the FAA is considering reducing the restrictions on onboard electronics use under 10,000ft anyway, this all seems moot.
A lady became upset, was forcibly removed, another african american booked for what is not a reasonable crime, white people cheer and the rest of us sane people wonder why people on both sides couldn’t have reacted more reasonably in the first place (and no, being asked to do things for a non-apparent reason not made clear to many is not a good enough reason to presume guilt and behave in a hyper-fearful manner whilst pointing fingers).
None of these things need happen anymore.
I can’t even count any more the number of times that this blog post has appeared in my RSS reader. Over and over and over and over…. Yesterday, late last night, this morning… back to back…
Oh, wait. I can tell you how many times… 54. Yes, 54 times this same post has shown up in RSS. Don’t believe me? Here’s a screen shot: http://tinypic.com/r/2lv0ivd/5
FIX YOURSELF!!
So annoying.
@Annon- Thanks, sent on to the BA tech team. Sorry about that, had no idea. Probably due to the server move last weekend.
Well… PMttP can get added to the list of bloggers who censor comments…even those which point out tech issues involving the blog. Very **** of you.
@annon- your comment was approved, it’s not immediate as I do have other things going on. I was in the process of boarding my 787 flight in Warsaw and approved all comments when I sat down. I don’t censor any comments. I even attempted to email you to thank you for the comment, but you chose to use an anonymous address…thanks for reporting though and the team is working on it already!
