Pretty cool tablet to control everything in my room at the W Bangkok, from lighting to A/C and messaging. I’ve had other recent stays at W hotels, but they’ve been a bit older than this one which opened in December 2012 and had no tablets. Tablets are by Archos…

Yeah, I’m gonna need one of those for the house now. 🙂
Very nice, was there over NYE.
Seems like a gimic more than anything else. ALl convenience would be lost when I leave it somewhere and then have to search the room for it.
@jared is your suite that big or your eyes and memory that bad?
I stayed there in November. Found the tablet confusing. My favorite is still the Hong Kong W. The lobby ofthishotelis also awkward big and empty, the club has no one in it at least when I was there. Again HK is vibrant and in key tied into the lobby area. Lastly there was way too much lavender. The Hyatt has a much nicer environment and nightlife and is about 10 minutes away. I never stayed at this Hyatt just went to check it out,
Similar device at the Waldorf-Astoria Shanghai. I didn’t use it.
