A couple from York, England, were flying from Krabi, Thailand, to Penang, Malaysia on an unexpectedly empty Firefly flight: they happened to be the only passengers on board!

Carrie Fisher (not the actress) and Kyle McNichol took photos and videos of their experience, which can be viewed here. The Daily Mail spoke with the couple, who viewed the entire experience with a great sense of humor. Fisher said:
The next hour and 10 minutes passed quickly, we spent the time seat hopping and Kyle has now added to his facial injuries by doing the slug. For those that don’t know he basically just slides along the floor with his bum on the air. Stepping off the plane in Penang the ground staff all started laughing at us too, and another lady escorted us to immigration, where again they laughed and asked us about our solo flight. Feeling like VIP’s, I was shocked that someone didn’t collect our two lonely bags off the carousel for us. Kyle’s going to need some luck now that I’ve had a taste of the good life.
I suppose this is more common than I would have thought. A man was recently the only passenger on his Delta Airlines flight. I likely would have done everything this couple did on their flight, except for cleaning off their carpet with my face. That can’t be hygienic!
