Two-Class AA Boeing 777-200ER Aircraft to be Placed on the Following European Routes

by Miguel R. Quinones

A couple of years ago American Airlines began reconfiguring their Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. As part of the reconfiguration plans, first class would be removed from these aircraft, while new economy class and business class seats would be installed. Both the new economy class and business class products are significant improvements to the previous corresponding products. In fact, some have argued that the new business class product is even better than the old first class product.

Per AirlineRoute.net, AA will place reconfigured two-class Boeing 777-200ER aircraft on the following routes:

  • New York JFK – Barcelona
  • New York JFK – Paris CDG (AA 44/45)
  • Dallas/Ft. Worth – London Heathrow (AA 80/81)
  • New York JFK – Rome

The JFK-BCN and JFK-CDG routes will be operated by reconfigured two-class Boeing 777-200ER effective March 3, 2016, while the reconfigured plane will operate the DFW-LHR route effective March 27, 2016 and the JFK-FCO route effective May 5, 2016.

AirlineRoute.net had previously reported that a reconfigured two-class Boeing 777-200ER would begin operating Chicago – London Heathrow service effective June 2, 2016.
