Earlier this month, I received an email from Delta asking me to participate in a survey for 250 points, it was the fourth time in four months that I’ve received one of these offers.
It was not as fun as the solicitation back in June when Delta wanted to understand how badly they’ve damaged the SkyMiles program. The topic for this survey was London Heathrow and Delta / SkyTeam’s operations there:
The two other survey topics were both NYC related (JFK and LGA). A little about me and perhaps why I’m being targeted for these surveys…
- 6 year Platinum Medallion SkyMiles member who dropped to general member status for 2015 (moved my spend to AA, though I do believe that DL provides the best service and flight options in the NYC area)
- Located in NYC, an area with two Delta hubs and an area that the airline continues to devote significant resources to
- I’ve had a ton of SkyMiles redemptions this year as I look to burn miles. See:
1,000 miles for the surveys isn’t going to push my SkyMiles balance one way or the other, but each survey took no longer than 15 minutes and in the case of the SkyMiles program survey…I was really excited to give my opinions!
