EgyptAir MS804 Black Box Recovered in Mediterranean

The cockpit voice recorder from the EgyptAir plane that crashed last month has been found in the Mediterranean according to Egypt’s investigation committee. The committee said the box was damaged, but that the search vessel was able to pull it from the wreckage in multiple stages and with the memory unit intact. The voice recorder is now on the way to Alexandria where investigators will unload and analyze the data. The recording will hopefully include the final 30 minutes within the cockpit.  It normally takes about 48 hours to obtain all the data from a non damaged black box, so we’ll have to be patient based on the condition of the unit.
