Designer Zac Posen has been hard at work designing new uniforms for Delta flight attendants, customer service agents, and ground crew, but the New York Post reports that multiple variations have been rejected by the airline for being too fitted.
“They are stuck in the design stage because his designs are not deemed to be practical for the flight attendants. The attendants need to be comfortable and wear the uniforms for long periods of time. His designs look great, even sexy, but are restrictive and don’t work for all sizes and ages.” “Zac has submitted multiple designs and, while they are gorgeous, they’re not entirely practical.” “The last piece he submitted had up to 20 seams in it. There’s frustration on both sides.” Plus, “All the designs have to be kept under tight security, as they cannot fall into the wrong hands. It is turning into a complicated operation.”
Delta says that the uniforms remain on schedule for an employee debut this fall. The reveal will be followed by a wear-test by 1,000 employees who will then submit feedback for adjustments prior to the launch in 2018.

Translation: Too many overweight employees
“but are restrictive and don’t work for all sizes and ages.”
They don’t have this problem at Singapore Air.
How about you mind your own business because you know nothing
@KDHM – Not sure what you are referring to, article was purely informative and based on a newspaper source. Interesting that your comment originates from a Delta.com IP address.
The articles quotes someone at Delta as Delta giving world class service? Really? Where? Surly cabin crews, inattentive, dowdy, unfriendly, dour faces. No thanks.
I cannot recall ever having cabin crews as you described. They have always been friendly and helpful. Remember there are quite a few people on an airplane and it must be difficult to make everyone ‘happy’.
