American is receiving employee complaints regarding their new uniforms due to a wool allergy that’s causing hives and headaches. The Chicago Business Journal reports that employees are being given the option to trade-out cotton uniforms for polyester ones.

Some female pilots at American have objected to their new uniform shirts because they were made of a cotton fabric that was too sheer to be deemed professional-looking. Adjustments have been made.

I had a similar reaction after flying AA recently (early March), sitting in an aisle seat. I ended up at emergency care that night as the reaction was getting severe (both eyes, nose, lips and tongue). I’ve never had that happen, and have not had it happen since. Coincidence?
