38% of Americans Would Give Up Sex to Travel Again Now

by Zoe

March is going to mark one year of staying home for most Americans and it appears many are now willing to give up sex to travel again. According to a January Trivago poll, more than 80% of those polled said travel is a part of a well-rounded life.

To that end, nearly half, or 48%, would give up their job, 38% would give up sex for a year, one-quarter would fork over all of their savings and 1 in 5 said they would dump their partner if it meant they could take a trip in the near future.

The pandemic has clearly led to pent-up travel demand, but the data also provides some insight into American sex lives during the pandemic.

In another poll, IPX 1031 surveyed 2,020 Americans to learn more about their travel plans for 2021.  As Americans begin receiving vaccinations for Covid-19, many are already planning to travel this year. In fact, more than half (58%) say they have travel plans this year with one-third of those planning on vacationing during spring break. Some are not wasting anytime as 42% already have their trips booked. A very strong 72% say they will feel safer flying after being vaccinated.
