A false invoice scheme has landed a former NWA/Delta employee in prison for defrauding Delta out of $36 million. The employee, who received a 6+ year sentence, had worked for Delta (previously Northwest) since 1979. His co-defendant received over 10 years back in January.

The invoices sought payment from the airlines for goods provided and services supposedly rendered by Airborne Voice and Data, when in fact both defendants knew the company had not provided any such goods or services.
