On Friday, American announced via their Twitter page- “Soon you’ll see our planes lighting the night sky as we add “tail illumination” to our fleet”. The reactions from Twitter followers were quite funny…

I wish US carriers would use tail illumination on the ground. Most of the European and Asians seem to do so. Does it really burn that much fuel?
