Delta No Notice Award Price Increase on India Flights, 55K More Miles Roundtrip!

by Adam

I guess it’s not really “no notice” when award charts are no longer around, but it looks like Delta has increased pricing on their “Level 1 / Low Level / Partner” awards between the US and India. Reviewing the previously deleted award charts via the travel essentials tab on Renes Points, you’ll see that these awards used to price at 70K each way for business. In fact, this “South Asia Subcontinent” pricing even survived the previously unannounced October 1, 2016 increase.  However, while searching for a Juicy Miles client today, we’ve noticed that these awards are now pricing at 97,500 each way, an increase of 27,500 miles one-way and 55,000 roundtrip!

Here are a few Air France, Korean, and Saudia partner only examples which should be pricing at the previous Level 1 rates, but display a 97.5K one-way business price instead:

Economy seats appear to have survived the increase, pricing at 40K each way…

This was sadly one of the awards where Delta was actually quite competitively priced:-(
