Reuters is reporting that an EgyptAir mechanic (with a cousin that joined ISIS in Syria) is suspected of planting the bomb on the Russian Metrojet flight that was blown up after departing from Sharm El Sheikh airport last October. There were 224 total passengers and crew on-board the doomed jet.
“After learning that one of its members had a relative that worked at the airport, Islamic State delivered a bomb in a handbag to that person, he was told to not ask any questions and get the bomb on the plane.”
Egypt’s Interior Ministry and EgyptAir security officials still state that no one has been arrested in connection with the crash.
