The boutique business-class airline, La Compagnie, is bringing back its “Blue Friday” flash sale this year with up to 50% off fares to Milan to celebrate its new route launching next spring. Customers will want to act fast: the deal with flights from Newark International to Milan’s Malpensa Airport is only available until Tuesday — November 23, 2021.
Blue Friday 2022 Details
Passengers who want to take advantage of the Blue Friday deal can do so on La Compagnie’s website or through their preferred travel agent.
The airline says the route and promotion are in celebration of borders reopening.
After a 15-month hiatus and on the heels of U.S. borders reopening to vaccinated travelers, La Compagnie has not only resumed service between New York and Paris, with brand new Airbus A321neo aircrafts no less, but is also ramping up and looking ahead to 2022 by expanding its European offering.
To celebrate, the airline is dedicating this year’s “Blue Friday” promotion to their new Italian route; starting April 15, 2022, travelers will have access to direct service between New York and the fashion capital of the world, Milan, with five flights per week from Newark International Airport (EWR) to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).

La Compagnie
La Compagnie is a relatively new player on the transatlantic scene. It launched in July 2014 and operates all business class A321neos to Newark International.
In addition to its flagship route to Paris Orly, the airline offers seasonal service to Nice (Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport) and is launching its new route to Milan (Milan Malpensa Airport) starting April 15, 2022.
La Compagnie’s Airbus A321neo are fitted with 76 full-flat seats meaning boarding and deboarding should be relatively efficient. Passengers have access to seatback entertainment as well as free, unlimited wifi.
Amenity kits feature Caudalie skincare products. Meanwhile, menus are curated by New York and Paris-based Michelin-starred chefs.
The airline also offers its own loyalty program, My Compagnie.

The Upshot: How good is this deal?
La Companie’s “Blue Friday” sales are massively undercutting typical nonstop fares between the New York City market and Milan.
Comparing fares on one of the dates in the promotion on Google Flights, La Companie as promised offers flights for under $1,466. Meanwhile, Emirates fares (not including checked luggage) are nearly double that at $2,651. American Airlines’ business class fares are $3,446 while Italy’s new national carrier, ITA Airways, charges $3,697. Delta and United both clock in at over $6,000.

Of course, La Compagnie does not belong to an alliance so you won’t earn miles on programs other than My Compganie. But with a price difference of 50+% off typical fares, it’s probably worth the tradeoff if you have travel to Milan planned.
