Fodor’s 2013 list of the top ten airports for a layover is out and I can attest that all of the below may have you thinking twice about taking that non-stop flight. There’s no big surprises on this year’s list, though I don’t totally agree that SFO is in the same league as the others on the list. Anyway, are any of your favorites missing? Check out the Fodor’s article for details as to why each location made the list and some pictures.

Muc during octoberfest! Ate at the LH biz lounge with a few beers, 3 hours to burn so the 20 something attendant suggested enjoying 90 min in the beer garden style courtyard. Wow, the travel is half the fun, but with a packed beer garden singing drinking songs at 11am was killer! Going back for the real thing to viset some friends that we meet there.
@Thomas – I haven’t hit Oktoberfest at MUC airport but I’ve been to the real thing twice. You are going to have a great time, make sure you check out the Augustiner tent, one of my favorites.
how the heck is LHR on that list ? even T5 is no fun to be at (a really crowded shopping mall that forces you to stay alert until your gate is announced).
NRT is not brand new, but it’s fun and upbeat when spending a couple hours there.
GRU and GIG, on the other hand, are atrocious.
