JetBlue is expanding its incredibly popular Mint service later this year with seasonal Mint service from New York (JFK) to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) and Boston (BOS) to St. Lucia (UVF). The service will operate on Saturdays, similar to the carrier’s other leisure destinations. The new expansion marks the 12th city with Mint service from JetBlue’s New York-JFK hub.
With the latest announcement, JetBlue will offer Mint service on 23 routes to 15 cities across the U.S., Caribbean, and now, Latin America.
The beginning of expansion into Latin America?
Liberia, Costa Rica is JetBlue’s first Mint city in Latin America. JetBlue will become the only airline to offer lie-flat seats between the U.S. and Costa Rica.
JetBlue will also resume Saturday Mint service to St. Maarten
JetBlue also announced Saturday Mint service from New York (JFK) to St. Maarten (SXM) will resume in February 2019. The airline will launch new Saturday Mint service from Boston (BOS) to St. Maarten (SXM) – also set to begin in February 2019.

Nice move for Jetblue. I love me some Costa Rica.
Just did a check and found that mint fare is lower than blue on Jan 5th.
Mint – $276, blue $300.
Whoa! That’s insane – definitely the best Mint fare I’ve ever seen. Thanks for the comment, Keston. Heading to JetBlue now to book ha!
JetBlue gets better and better!
On a side note, I see as of yesterday, a fellow Boarding Area blogger, Summer Hull’s “Mommy Points” has jumped ship from Boarding Area to “The Points Guy” blog. I suspect she might feel the need to reduce her blogging time to spend more time with hubby Josh, oldest daughter Cate and the youngest one. Guess time will tell how successful that move will be.
