Amazon is further boosting benefits for Amazon Prime members. Through a partnership with JetBlue, beginning later this year, those with an Amazon Prime membership will be able to stream movies from the Amazon Prime library for free aboard a JetBlue flight.
Wi-Fi on JetBlue is provided by Fly Fi, which is one of the fastest services available. JetBlue currently already offers free Wi-Fi service for all passengers at a standard (read: slower) speed, with the option to purchase an upgrade to higher data speed. For thespeed usually required for streaming, JetBlue currently charges around $9 an hour. This benefit means that Amazon Prime customers wishing to stream from the Amazon library can save $9 an hour, but of course you would have to pay the usual price if you wish to stream from other services, like Hulu.
For those that do not have Amazon Prime, it’s a $99/year service that includes free 2-day shipping on most items sold or fulfilled by Amazon, Prime Instant Video and music access, unlimited photo storage, among other services. Students can get the membership for half off and they offer a 3o-day trial to all new members.
If you are looking to get an Amazon Prime membership and have an American Express card, it might be worth checking your AMEX account online, since they are currently offering a targeted promotion for $20 off $20 on Amazon!
