New York’s Plaza Hotel Up for Sale in Foreclosure Auction

by Adam

The famed Plaza Hotel off Central Park in New York City is heading to the auction block in April. The hotel has had many owners over its 109 years including Donald Trump, who bought the property back in 1988. Apparently, all rooms, restaurants, and retail spaces are included in the auction and the hotel is being sold as part of a package deal with the Dream Downtown hotel in Chelsea. Could Starwood bidder and Waldorf Astoria / new Strategic Hotels & Resort owner Anbang Insurance Group be interested in this property as well?
