This is one award redemption that I locked in almost 12 months out…though SPG availability wasn’t easy to book on my own, forcing me to work directly with the hotel to secure the space. Well, it was all worth it! We are loving our stay here. The beach is gorgeous, the views from the room amazing, and the service incredible. We are driven to our room in a golf cart, take the complimentary shuttle into town, and were even given free Platinum member drinks on the beach (in addition to our breakfast each morning). Today, Jeremy Piven and his girlfriend were in the chaise lounges next to us on the beach while Victoria’s Secret models had chairs one row over. There are princes from both Kuwait and Saudi in attendance at the hotel as well. …I’m going to assume none of these “VIP” guests are using SPG points, instead paying the 800-1,000 EUR a night rates. A few negatives come with the positives – the recently renovated rooms have a slight mildew odor, tons of steps to get anywhere unless you are using the golf carts, the shuttle into town is on a sporadic schedule…otherwise it’s 15 Euro. I’ll have a full trip report later this month with full room and resort details, but for now, some of my favorite pictures:
View from the room / our balcony
Beach time
View and food from the complimentary breakfast
Other resort pics

Looks like a lovely property in a great location!
My wife and I also booked with points and did so for the 3-8 (we are here now). We were actually pretty disappointed with the room (SPG platinum member and also tried to use suite night awards, with no luck), but everything else is pretty good so far!
