A Southwest passenger was ejected from a flight after allegedly jabbing her seat mate with a pen for snoring.
The passengers were traveling on Southwest Flight 577 from Chicago-Midway to Manchester, New Hampshire. The incident occurred as the plane was taxiing to the runway. The pilot decided to return to the gate in order to eject the female passenger. Other passengers on the flight reported that the ejected passenger was smirking as she was ejected from the flight. The flight eventually took off about 2 hours behind schedule…the jabbing passenger was accommodated on a later flight.
The snoring man, named Lenny (according to his friends who took to Twitter to comment on the situation), allegedly suffered from deep bruises, though no blood was drawn. His friends took a picture of the pen marks left by the ejected passenger on his shirt.

Flight attendants provided free gin and tonics to Lenny and made the announcement, “please keep your writing utensils to yourself and have a great day.”
Southwest #flight577 attendant is awesome. "We landed. Please keep your writing utensils to yourself and have a great day" #psychopenlady

I get it—snoring passengers can be annoying, but stabbing them with a pen is definitely not the way to go! Perhaps JetBlue can do an episode on how not to wake someone up for their next Flight Etiquette series.
