Like many of us, candidates campaigning to be the next President of the United States of America have also migrated from using taxis and private limousine services to Uber. A recent US News & Weekly Report article highlighted just how much Presidential hopefuls spent, and the answer may surprise you. The report dug through filings with the Federal Election Commission to determine just how many rides each candidate took, and how much they spent. Their images are revealing.
After analyzing data for campaign expenditures by Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, it was clear that Jeb and Marco’s teams have an affinity for Uber. Interestingly, it was actually Christie’s team who was responsible for the four most expensive Uber rides of the 2016 cycle.
On December 11, 2015, someone affiliated with the Christie campaign took a $1,473 Uber trip! His other top trips ranged in price from $288 to $329.
It is clear that Christie spends the most per Uber ride, with an average cost of $215.38 per every ride taken by the Christie campaign.
I’m willing to bet Chris Christie doesn’t take uberX or uberPOOL!

Maybe the Uber was stuck in a traffic jam ordered by one of Christie’s cronies?
