This is part one of a twelve part trip report from my travels to Prague, Nice, Bratislava, Sorrento, and Rome and includes my flight from JFK to Prague in BusinessElite on a B767-300ER with completed interior mod.
As mentioned in my B767-400ER trip report, Delta’s SkyMiles program has earned the reputation as being one of the worst loyalty programs in the industry in terms of award redemptions (though I’ve had fantastic luck this year), but I firmly believe that their on-board service is the best amongst US carriers.

- Alitalia B777-200ER New Magnifica Business Class FCO-JFK
After boarding I was personally greeted by the purser and given a choice of champagne, orange juice, or a mimosa.
Once again, there were birthday announcements (two DL flights in a row) and the safety video which I actually find somewhat enjoyable with the triplets, no smoking, and Deltalina clips.
Tumi amenity kit
Dinner & Breakfast
Multiple offers for wine top offs…
The braised beef short ribs and parsnip puree are always delicious and one of my favorite Delta dishes…
First time having french toast on Delta, pretty good – not too soggy or hard!
Westin’s Heavenly Bedding, USB charging and power, and fully recline.
The updated bathroom with touchless sink and toilet and updated lighting!
Overall it was a great flight. Again, like my other recent Delta BusinessElite flight, we had excellent service, good food, a comfy fully-flat seat, and a large selection of movies.

Hey great report on this flight! Thanks for shooting the menu–the cod sounds great. I actually could eat almost everything on the menu. I haven’t flown an actual DL metal since like 2006…perhaps its time.
Enjoy your trip.
I find this below average compared to all the business class seats in the World. Might be ok for US based airlines. I’m not impressed at all.
I definitely agree that DL has the best on board service of any US carrier. That being said, as a DL PM for 7 years in a row, I have had my share of intl biz class flights, and unfortunately I think the food quality has gone way down hill over the years. The seats are awesome, and the wine selection has improved, but the food options seem limited and all very fatty and not that flavorful. Also on my JFK-CPH flight in July, there was no hot breakfast served before arrival. It was only yogurt and a fruit bowl. Disappointing to say the least after 7.5 hours.
These new seats are good on the 777 series but with the 767,at 6’1″ I have to sleep sideways because my feet get caught in that narrow end on the bottom, such a lame design
