There are few things better in life than a free lunch, and thanks to Uber and UberEATS, New Yorkers hit the jackpot this Saturday. Uber seems to be trying to win over riders by feeding them. Makes sense – after all, isn’t the quickest way to someone’s heart through their stomach?
The Quickest Way to an Uber Rider’s Heart
For those of you in the fashion world, this week is New York Fashion Week. From September 10-17, the world congregates on the Big Apple and you will be more likely to find a 6’1 woman in Times Square this week than at a WNBA game. Uber has partnered with Sakara Life, a company which delivers organic meals to your home. Not surprisingly, Sakara Life was founded by 2 models.

For this promotion, Uber revealed that:
UberEATS service will be available this Saturday, September 12, with a special pop-up menu from Sakara Life—delivered to you for FREE! Fuel up with meals designed to cleanse, hydrate, and heal the body from inside out, so you can look and feel your best. Starting on Saturday at 11am, check your Uber app to order your complimentary lunch from Sakara Life. Choose from menu options: The Sakara Cobb Salad or The Daydreamer Soba Bowl.

This offer is for those in Manhattan between 59th Street and 14th Street, and goes live on Saturday September 12, 2015 from 11am – 2pm. A cutlery icon will appear in your Uber app, indicating that you can order your free lunch. It does not appear that you will need to enter a special Uber code to trigger this deal.

Dammit, I live just south of 14th st. I wonder if I can walk a few blocks north to receive a delivery.
Tom –
That would absolutely work. Drop your pin within their promotion boundaries, and order to that location.
