Westin is offering 1,000 bonus miles when you stay at any property by March 31, 2013. The link brings you to a Delta SkyMiles 1k offer (http://www.starwoodpromos.com/westin-delta/), but I’ve tried substituting Delta for other airlines and found that US Airways works as well. American and United do not.

Similarly, Marriott is offering 1,000 bonus miles for stays from November 15, 2012 through February 15, 2013 at JW Marriott, Renaissance Hotels, Marriott Hotels & Resorts or Gaylord Hotels booked by January 15, 2013. The link is for Delta (http://joinmarriottrewards.com/delta), though you can substitute US Airways as well. Again, American and United do not seem to work. The promotion is intended for NEW Marriott Rewards members, however there is a section for current members and I successfully registered for the promotion. YMMV

Remember to also register for the Q1 Starwood, Marriott, Club Carlson, and Hilton promos.

It’s telling me that my MR number is invalid. It’s definitely the right number though. Anyone else have an issue?

It needs to be booked under special “WMILES” rate, which tends to be higher than standard or AAA rate. So you are really pay more to buy miles.
