Trip Report – CSA Czech Airlines Crystal Lounge Prague

This is part three of a twelve part trip report from my travels to Prague, Nice, Bratislava, Sorrento, and Rome. This quick trip picture report includes the CSA Czech Airlines Crystal Lounge located at Prague Airport (PRG).

I was traveling in Economy but used my Delta SkyMiles Platinum status to gain entry to the lounge. Unfortunately, “DL’s system was not communicating with CSA” that day and the status would not confirm on-screen or print on the boarding pass. I was asked to provide my membership card, which I never carry with me. Instead, I logged into Delta’s website on my iPhone to display the status and this was considered valid proof (I don’t think they even looked at the screen). A fellow DL SM member told me his status rarely prints with CSA, but that there’s never a real check at the desk.

For the early evening flight, the lounge was busy, but not crowded. Select seats had the outlets above, though they weren’t the norm. There was even a children’s area at the back of the lounge…

On to the food and drink selections – an eclectic mix of cereal, trail mix, pretzels, beef soup, pre-made mini sandwiches and salads, fruit cups, yogurt, and cheese. Advice – fine for snacking, but eat before entering or grab food for your flight!

The bi-weekly email covered everything from upcoming promotions, guidance on maximizing points, and redemption advice. The distribution quickly expanded outside the office and Point Me to the Plane became a BoardingArea blog.
