Delta Mistake Fares Booked, What Did BoardingArea Readers Snag??

I was in for only two tickets during Delta’s pricing glitch yesterday, JFK-LAX in BusinessElite for $84 and JFK-SEA in economy for $25 (FTU and the Freddie Awards in April). What about BoardingArea readers? I would have liked to have done some better planning, snagged some Hawaii seats, and been home to really think about booking, but such is life and I was on a train at the time. So, here’s the real question – What did you BoardingArea readers book? Did you just grab one great trip or did you go crazy booking multiple trips for yourself, your family, and your friends? Share your itineraries in the comments below!

  1. How did people get informed of this deal? Did anyone post on Boardingarea? I would love to be more informed for the future deals like this…

  2. 6 tickets EWR-HNL rt in first class, $98.02!! Kayak now says the same intinerary costs over $2k each!! $12k in flights for only $588! Love it. We will each be crediting the miles to Alaska netting 120k miles (wish Alaska had pooled accounts like JetBlue or BA 🙁 )

  3. DCA-AUS RT: $50
    DCA-MSY RT: $50
    DCA-PDX RT: $50 x 2
    DCA-SEA RT: $140 — not sure why this was so “expensive”
    DCA-SFO RT: $140 — not sure why this was so “expensive”
    DCA-HNL RT: $175

  4. DEN=>EWR $32
    DEN=>DCA $68 x 3
    DEN=>ANC $82 x 2
    And almost booked (site shut down):
    DFW=>DEN o/w $24
    DEN=>LIH $180
    LAX=>JFK $13 o/w

    All in First 🙂

  5. I booked JFK-HNL round trip for $86.31 and one of the four legs is in business class. I’m super excited for Hawaii. First timer.

  6. I got in on the tail end of this and wasn’t able to book anything. I tried for about 30 minutes before it went down. I don’t blame folks that frequent blogs like this but I think we have become a victim of our own popularity. I didn’t feel too bad about not finding a booking I wanted but when the evening news came on talking about it and then the local news!!!! interviewed a local resident about what great deals he got I knew why it was killed so quickly.
