Delta Canceling 40 737-9 and 20 E-190 New Aircraft Orders

During a conference call this morning to discuss their second quarter results, Delta CEO Richard Anderson announced that the carrier will cancel Boeing and Embraer orders in response to Delta pilots voting down a new contract last week. The orders included 40 B737-900s and 20 E-190 jets.  There wasn’t much other information provided besides this from Anderson – “Those orders will be canceled.”

Here was Delta’s previous announcement for the E-190 order.

Will update as further details are released…

  1. Has anyone used the rear bathrooms in the 739? You can’t even turn around! They forget they have customers who are heavier/larger than the average folk and they also have a right to use a bathroom! How I wish the 752 and 753 would make a comeback!
