United & Delta Introduce New “Upgraded” Amenity Kits

by Adam

Last week, United introduced product updates to their amenity kits, which come just two weeks after Delta went live with new amenity kits. The two press releases below beginning with United’s:

United Airlines and Cowshed Spa, the premium spa and lifestyle brand of London-based Soho House & Co., are joining together in a partnership to bring travelers contemporary new amenities onboard and at more than a dozen United airport lounges worldwide. Beginning Aug. 1, 2015, United will exclusively offer Soho House’s Cowshed skin-care products onboard in newly redesigned amenity kits for premium-cabin customers on intercontinental flights.

Lauded by Cosmopolitan magazine UK as a “super-stylish beauty brand,” all of Cowshed’s award-winning products are made in England from the best in organic, wildcrafted and fairly traded plant extracts and essential oils. United customers will enjoy formulations inspired by the scents of an English country garden, with playful names designed to lift spirits and relax travelers.

“Soho House’s Cowshed skin-care products – which received very positive feedback from customers and flight attendants – will be a fresh addition to the products and services we offer premium-cabin customers on United Airlines,” said Tom O’Toole, United’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “This is another step in enhancing our customers’ experience in flight and on the ground.”

Delta:

Custom designed hard- and soft-sided TUMI amenity kits can now be found on-board and include a TUMI soft-touch pen and eyeshades; MALIN+GOETZ lip moisturizer, body lotion and new mouthwash; striped socks, facial tissues, earplugs and a dental kit with Crest toothpaste. The hard- and soft-side kits will be alternated in direction of travel so customers are able to collect one each way and keep it for re-use after they get to their destination.
