Oceania Cruises is a Miami, Florida-based premium cruise line that operates five ships on world-wide itineraries. They just announced an incredible 180-day round the world trip departing from Miami and returning back to Miami.
On the 684-passenger Insignia, passengers will have the opportunity to stop at 87 ports in a whopping 40 countries. The success of the cruise line’s January 6, 2017 departure prompted this recent announcement of their January 3, 2018 trip.
For the low low price of $39,999 per guest (plus taxes and port fees) for an Inside Stateroom on Decks 6/7, guests can travel to some incredible destinations. First, the trip heads south to the Caribbean and South America before heading across the Atlantic to Africa. Once there, the cruise will stop at some marvelous destinations such as Togo, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and Madagascar. The Insignia will then take passengers aacross the Indian Ocean to the Seychelles, Maldives and India before continuing on to Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Of course, no cruise is complete without stops in China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia. For most travelers, this would be a once in a lifetime trip already, but Insignia passengers will also get to head to Australia, and New Zealand before working its way back towards the United States. After quick stops in Hawaii and then Los Angeles, the ship heads to Central America briefly before passing through the Panama Canal on its way back to Florida.

If I was retired, and money was no object, I’d sign up in a heartbeat!
I would if I had the time off work and could get a balcony for a decent price. $40k sounds like a lot but think of the savings from being gone that long.
