Despite Uber dominating much of the international market, Lyft is still operating in the United States, and in many ways are expanding their business. Just yesterday, they received a “privilege permit” from the Port Authority of NY & NJ, and launched service to airports in the New York area.
Gilt is currently offering a $25 credit for Lyft Premier rides to/from selected airport for free. Simply “RSVP” on Gilt here and Gilt will send you a code to redeem within 24 hours. Once you have received your code, you will have to redeem (i.e. ride) by December 30, 2016. Here are the eligible airports:
- Burbank (BUR)
- Chicago (MDW and ORD)
- Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
- Los Angeles (LAX)
- Miami (MIA)
- New York (JFK and LGA)
- Oakland (OAK)
- Palm Beach (PBI)
- San Francisco (SFO)
- San Jose (SJC)
- Washington, D.C. (IAD and DCA)
As a reminder, Uber is partnering with American Express to offer free (up to $65 off) rides from the airport. The lists of airports don’t completely overlap, do you might find some value from this Lyft offer as well. The Uber offer also isn’t good for rides to the airport (though there are other promo codes out there you can use for those), whereas the Lyft offer can be used both ways. Keep in mind this particular offer is only good for Lyft Premier rides (their luxury vehicle option).
