Chase Hyatt Free Nights – Trick To Add A Month Of Expiration

by Adam S.

If you are currently working to meet the minimum spend on your Chase Hyatt card, consider this little trick to extend your expiration by a month.

Back in mid June, I took advantage of “the best Chase Hyatt credit card offer I have seen” offer. I completed my minimum spend on June 21th and my free nights posted on June 27th, 6 days after meeting the spend and even faster then the 10 days promised in Hyatt’s T&C’s.

Looking at my shiny new awards, I was surprised that they expired at the end of the calendar month instead of the posting date.

If you aren’t in a hurry to burn your free nights, my recommendation would be to complete your spend on the 26th of the month. This trick should have your awards post around the beginning of the next month and give you a extra month of expiration.

Hyatt will also extend the expiration date by an additional month as a courtesy if you call and ask them to.
