United Airlines said on Tuesday that its July 4th on-time performance was the best since the merger with Continental six years ago. 72.2% of flights (mainline and regional) arrived on time between July 1 – July 4th, despite major adverse weather in the Northeast and Midwest. To put that in perspective, the airline’s 2015 performance was -20.4% lower while 2014 was -48.7% lower.
“We are getting more customers to meetings, beaches and family gatherings on time than ever before in our combined company history.”
