After booking a Delta flight for this coming January from LaGuardia (LGA) to Kansas City (MCI), I was surprised to receive the following message from DL.com.
Now, the ticket was booked through our corporate travel agency (American Express), but so were all my other Delta revenue flights for work this year. I’m currently a Platinum Medallion member. In the past, I’ve always been able to log right into DL.com and select an Economy Comfort seat after making the booking, never before receiving a similar message. This morning, I was only able to select seats that were NOT Economy Comfort and / or Preferred. I thought perhaps I needed to give it more time…but at this point we are at the 25 hour mark and still no access. Hmm, I’ll update this post again when I’m finally able to select an EC seat. Anyone else receiving this notification?

Thank you for your recent email providing additional information. I am sorry for the confusion. It appears you will not maintain your Platinum status for 2014. Currently I am showing xxxx MQMs earned. To make Platinum status naturally you would have to earn 75000. As stated in the last email, not all Platinum benefits are extended when status will not be met in the forthcoming year.
