This is truly exciting, since my favorite airline and my favorite hotel chain are coming together for this new partnership!
Cathay Pacific just announced that they are partnering with chefs from Grand Hyatt Hong Kong along with five Park Hyatt properties around the world to create in-flight meals for all classes. That’s right—you will be able to experience these dining options even in coach!

- The Back Room, Park Hyatt New York
- NoMI, Park Hyatt Chicago
- VUN, Park Hyatt Milan
- Annona, Park Hyatt Toronto
- Parkhuus, Park Hyatt Zurich
For flights departing from Hong Kong to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and North America, the catering will be creations from Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Flights departing from Zurich, Toronto, Milan, Chicago, or New York will receive creations from the respective Park Hyatt.
It goes without saying, this does not mean that the renowned Hyatt chefs are going to be personally cooking up all the meals of passengers, and I don’t think I would go out of my way to book a flight just to try the new catering options, However, with two of my favorite brands working together, this is still an exciting collaboration!
Sadly, this “promotion” only lasts until August 31, 2016.
