Etihad Award Searching Finally Made Easier, Enable Automated Alerts!

by Adam

My most recent Etihad redemptions involved last minute bookings when award availability for The Residence aboard their A380 flights opened up the day before and day of travel. Snagging these required me to check Etihad’s website multiple times per day (or let’s be honest…per hour). That combined with having to call American’s Australia call center to get the awards properly ticketed, was quite the hassle. On top of that, the search website search functionality has been extremely glitchy as of late for US customers.

While AA’s US call centers still struggle to see proper Etihad availability, we finally have an automated approach for the award searches themselves! This morning, ExpertFlyer announced that Etihad space is now viewable on their platform, which means you can set up automated searches and alerts!

We are happy to announce that we have added many new airlines for Award searching on ExpertFlyer:
100% SkyTeam Airlines Award Coverage, for all routes
1) Virgin Atlantic
2) Virgin Australia
3) Etihad Airways

Remember, Etihad is an AmEx Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou points, and Starwood Preferred Guest partner, allowing you to combine points from all 3 programs for a redemption. Additionally, you can of course redeem with miles from your American’s AAdvantage account.

Have you still not tried ExpertFlyer? Sign-up via this link and receive 5 free days to search or create notifications for awards and upgrades on countless carriers including Etihad.
