The Emirates First Class Lounge at the A380 Terminal was trendy and Vegas like while the Concourse B First Class Lounge was more traditional with Arabic influence…but still had a ton of amenities. This is part six of a fourteen part trip report from my travels to the Maldives and Dubai. This picture report covers the one year old Emirates First Class Lounge at the A380 Terminal – Concourse A in Dubai.

Like the lounge reviewed yesterday – Emirates First Class Lounge – A380 Terminal – Concourse A – Dubai, the First Class Lounge at Terminal B has a fine dining area, spa, prayer room, a ton of seating with additional food areas, children’s play rooms, showers, a business center, and a smoking area (instead of the cigar room). The seating and the surroundings are a bit more dated and power outlets were added after the fact…
The fine dining menu was identical to the other lounge (see yesterday’s post) as were the buffet areas.
Look at all those chefs…
Even if you’re not in the fine dining area, there’s still plenty to eat…
After spending hours at the newer and larger Concourse A lounge, this lounge actually felt small…which is ridiculous as it’s still probably one of the largest first class lounges in the world. I’d definitely recommend making the trip to the other lounge though regardless of where your flight departs from. This lounge was older and darker and just didn’t feel as special as the Concourse A lounge. It also lacked the quiet rooms, cigar room, PS3 areas, and had an older spa (you only get one treatment per ticket regardless of how many lounges you visit). The food however is identical in all lounges.

I continue to be baffled that Haagen Dazs is served in F on many airlines and in Emirates F lounge. I wouldn’t buy it even if it was on sale at the store.
I appreciated the Dean & DeLuca ice cream served in JL C.
It is worth noting that the showers in the B First Class Lounge are HORRiBLE! Avoid at all costs, even if it means going over to the A lounge.
